Developed through creative research on the psychology of bigotry, emotional contagion, and observational learning, Contagion is a speculative work that invites the audience to ask themselves the following question as bystanders of a chaotic scenario developing onstage: How and why have they turned against each other? It seeks to highlight the fragility of human connection and how quickly it fractures when fed by bigotry.

In my solo-adapted work, I investigate the theme of hope amidst the coronavirus pandemic as a means of survival. For the time being... seeks to acknowledge the reality of how we must collectively navigate the current situation while expressing the individual experience of isolation, moving from loneliness, to fear, and finally, to hope.
